Description

The Megaware KeelGuard 6-foot black keel protector creates a durable sacrificial barrier along the most vulnerable part of a fiberglass hull. It is designed to take the abrasion from sand, gravel, concrete ramps, rocks, and shallow-water contact that can wear through gelcoat and eventually expose the laminate beneath.

Its engineered polymer and urethane construction balances toughness with enough flexibility to follow the keel contour. A pressure-sensitive 3M acrylic adhesive permanently bonds the protector to a properly prepared hull, while contoured edges and molded channels help the strip sit smoothly against the running surface.

This 6-foot version is sized for boats up to about 18 feet and uses UV-stabilized material to help the black finish retain its appearance.
