Adding a Maxwell Anchor Swivel Shackle between the anchor and rode improves retrieval and helps the rode lay neatly into the anchor locker. Maxwell recommends pairing it with the automatic rope/chain windlass series.

Two sizes cover most vessels: 6-8mm (1/4″-5/16″) and 10-12mm (3/8″-7/16″), suited to boats up to 20 meters (65′). These robust single-swivel connectors use captured pins that won’t loosen under load, pulling smoothly over bow rollers.
