Description

The Mastervolt Battery Mate 1603 IG Isolator distributes charging current to multiple battery banks while keeping those banks electrically separated. Its electronic MOSFET design minimizes the voltage loss common with conventional diode isolators, helping connected batteries receive a faster and more complete charge.

The unit can accept charging input from an alternator or battery charger and distribute that current to multiple banks without requiring manual battery selection. Electronic compensation helps maintain the correct charging voltage as load and battery conditions change, reducing the adjustments often needed with traditional diode-based isolators.

The Battery Mate installs on a standard DIN rail for a clean electrical-panel installation. An additional IG connection supports alternators that require external excitation or voltage sensing, making the isolator useful in both new systems and retrofit applications.
