Marinco 121A 30A to 50A Shore Power Pigtail Adapter

Description

The Marinco 121A pigtail adapter is designed for boats with a 50A locking shore power inlet when the available dockside source uses a compatible 30A locking connection. The short adapter bridges the two connector formats without requiring a full-length specialty cord, making it a practical piece of equipment for marina stops where the pedestal service does not match the vessel’s normal shore power connection.

Marinco equips the adapter with covers and sealing collars where required for use in wet locations. Its sealing collar system creates a positive mechanical connection between the adapter and the mating cordset, helping protect the connection from moisture and reducing the chance of an accidental separation as the boat moves at the dock.

The adapter changes the connector configuration only. It does not increase the amount of electrical power available from the pedestal, so a boat connected to a 30A source remains limited by that lower-capacity shore circuit. Matching the inlet, cordset, voltage, and dockside receptacle before use is essential.
