Marinco 117A 50A to 30A Shore Power Pigtail Adapter

Description

The Marinco 117A Pigtail Adapter connects a boat equipped with a 50A 125/250V locking shore power inlet to a compatible 30A 125V dockside receptacle. The boat-side female connector uses Marinco’s sealing collar system for a protected connection to the vessel inlet or cordset, while the dockside male plug uses a 30A locking configuration.

The adapter includes covers and sealing hardware where required and is intended for wet-location use. Its compact pigtail form is useful when the available marina service does not match the boat’s normal 50A connection and a full-length adapter cable is unnecessary.

This adapter changes the connector format but does not create additional shore power. When connected to a 30A pedestal, the available current remains limited by that dockside source even though the vessel inlet is designed for 50A 125/250V service. Matching the exact inlet, receptacle, and voltage configuration is therefore important before connection.
