Description

The Maretron CKM12 is a customizable twelve-button keypad for NMEA 2000 digital switching systems. It replaces conventional high-current electromechanical switches with low-current networked controls, reducing wiring complexity while giving each button clear visual feedback and programmable behavior.

Each button can use laser-etched legends and includes LED function indication. The LEDs also provide diagnostic feedback when a fault condition is detected, helping the operator identify a circuit problem without opening an electrical panel. Tactile and audible feedback makes button operation easy to confirm even when the operator is focused on the helm.

The rugged front panel is sealed to IP69K, making the keypad suitable for interior or exposed marine locations. Its low-profile design can be mounted vertically or horizontally for a clean dashboard installation. Button life exceeds one million actuation cycles, providing substantially longer service life than many traditional mechanical switching arrangements.

The CKM12 communicates over the NMEA 2000 CAN protocol and can control Maretron digital switching loads. It can also work with compatible third-party systems using NMEA 2000 PGN 127501 Binary Status Report. A CKM-to-NMEA 2000 adapter cable is included.
