Lews Laser Lite 100 Spinning Reel 5.1:1 Lightweight Design

Description

The Lew’s Laser Lite 100 is a compact spinning reel with a 5.1:1 gear ratio, 6+1 bearings, and 23.5 in of line recovery per handle turn. The handle can be configured for either right- or left-hand retrieve, making the reel adaptable to the angler’s preferred side. Monofilament capacity is 160 yd of 6 lb line, while braid capacity is 160 yd of 20 lb.

The reel uses a graphite frame and sideplate with a double-anodized aluminum spool, keeping the body light while retaining an aluminum line platform. A skeletal graphite rotor continues the weight-conscious construction through the rotating assembly, and a Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearing provides anti-reverse engagement during the retrieve.

An oiled-felt multi-disc drag system manages drag pressure, and the folding handle makes the reel more compact for transport or storage. Together, the graphite body, aluminum spool, skeletal rotor, reversible handle, and 5.1:1 gearing give the Laser Lite 100 a straightforward light spinning-reel configuration.
