Lew’s KVD 8.3:1 Left Hand Baitcast LFS Reel

Description

The Lew’s KVD LFS is a left-hand baitcasting reel geared at 8.3:1 for fast line pickup, recovering 35 in with each turn of the handle. A 9+1 bearing system supports the retrieve, while the Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearing provides immediate anti-reverse engagement. Line capacity is 120 yd of 12 lb monofilament or 120 yd of 50 lb braid.

A one-piece aluminum frame forms the reel’s rigid core, with graphite sideplates used to reduce weight around that structure. The anodized aluminum U-shaped spool measures 34 mm, and a multi-setting brake system lets you adjust spool control to suit different lures and casting conditions.

The 95 mm bowed carbon-fiber handle uses EVA knobs for grip, while a zirconia line guide controls line travel across the spool. A carbon-fiber drag system manages pressure under load, and Lew’s Speed Keeper, Speed Dial, and Speed Lube features are built in. An external lube port provides direct access for routine lubrication.
