D2 tool steel is a step up from standard stainless alloys, holding a working edge noticeably longer through repeated cutting thanks to its high carbon content, an advantage in a knife meant for daily use. The spear point blade shape gives a symmetrical, reinforced tip that stays strong under pressure, well suited to piercing tasks a curved blade handles less cleanly.
