Description

The Kershaw Outright in Black centers on an unusual trailing point blade shape, a 3-inch black PVD-coated 8Cr13MoV blade with an upswept edge that curves upward toward the tip, set in a black stainless handle with a G10 overlay.

That trailing point geometry puts more curved edge in contact with material during a slicing cut than a standard drop point offers, useful for anyone who does a lot of slicing rather than piercing work. PVD coating bonds a hard, corrosion-resistant layer to the steel, resisting scratches and daily wear noticeably better than paint or basic anodizing. The G10 overlay adds texture exactly where a thumb rests during use, and a frame lock secures the blade with the rigid, play-free lockup machined-metal locking bars are known for.
