The Ka-Bar Short USMC measures 9.25 in overall and uses a 5.25 in black-coated 1095 high-carbon steel blade with the familiar stacked-leather handle.

The blade includes the familiar blood groove and USMC tang stamp, preserving the visual identity of the larger fighting/utility pattern in a more compact format. Black epoxy powder coating covers most of the carbon-steel blade to help protect the surface.

An oval stacked-leather handle is paired with a steel guard and metal pommel for the classic Ka-Bar grip shape. A leather sheath is included, matching the traditional construction of the handle instead of using a molded synthetic carrier.

The 1095 blade uses a through-tang construction beneath the stacked leather handle. Ka-Bar includes a brown leather belt sheath, keeping the compact USMC pattern consistent with the traditional leather grip.
