Ka-Bar Cool Name Tanto Fixed Blade Knife

Description

The Ka-Bar Cool Name has a 4.625-inch 1095 Cro-Van reverse tanto blade in a black finish at 9.375 inches overall in a smoke polycarbonate handle, with a sheath.

The reverse tanto flips the usual geometry, putting the angled break on the spine rather than the edge. That leaves a strong acute tip above a continuous curved edge, so the blade slices like a drop point while keeping a tanto’s tip strength. 1095 Cro-Van is Ka-Bar’s carbon steel with chromium and vanadium added, tougher than plain 1095 and holding an edge better.

Smoke polycarbonate is translucent rather than opaque, so the tang shows through the scales, an unusual look on a working fixed blade. At 9.375 inches overall with a 4.625-inch blade, this sits in full-size camp knife territory. Explore more Utility and Work Knives.
