Icom IC-M85UL 5W Intrinsically Safe VHF Radio

Description

This Icom handheld shares the compact size, MIL-STD 810 toughness, and IP67 waterproofing that make its standard sibling one of the smallest, lightest radios on the market, but it adds an intrinsically safe certification for hazardous environments a normal radio simply isn’t rated to enter.

A tilted rotary channel selector and volume knob keep essential controls within easy reach, and built-in safety triggers, overboard detection, a man-down sensor, and lone-worker monitoring, fire off an automatic alarm the moment any of them activate, genuine peace of mind for anyone working solo in a risky spot. A multi-function button conveniently swaps between marine and land mobile frequencies.

Note: the standard IC-M85’s voice-scrambling feature isn’t present on this UL-certified version.

5/3/1W marine, 2/1W land mobile transmit power. This version does not carry the voice scrambler.
