GROCO ARG-2503 Sight Glass for ARG-2500 Series – ARG-2503

Description

GROCO ARG-2503 Sight Glass for ARG-2500 Series – ARG-2503

The GROCO ARG-2503 Sight Glass is a genuine replacement acrylic cylinder designed specifically for the ARG-2500 series raw water strainers. As the central body of the strainer, the sight glass allows for a clear, 360-degree view of the filter basket so you can monitor debris levels without opening the unit.

Durable One-Piece Design

Unlike older strainer designs that used multiple gaskets and rods, the ARG series uses a one-piece molded sight glass to minimize potential leak points.

• Impact Resistant: Made from high-strength, transparent acrylic designed to withstand the pressures and vibrations of a marine engine room.

• Full Visibility: The crystal-clear material ensures you can easily spot grass, plastic, or biological growth before it restricts your engine’s cooling water.

• Precision Fit: Engineered to create a vacuum-tight seal when paired with the correct GROCO O-rings and the bronze strainer head.

Compatibility

This sight glass is a direct replacement part for the following 2-1/2″ NPT models:

• ARG-2500 (Monel Basket)

• ARG-2500-S (Stainless Steel Basket)

• ARG-2500-P (Non-Metallic Basket)

Technical Specifications

• Part Number: ARG-2503

• Material: Heavy-duty Acrylic

• Series: ARG-2500 (2.5″ Pipe Size)

• Dimensions: Approximately 6″ Diameter x 12.5″ Height

Maintenance Tip

When replacing your sight glass, it is highly recommended to install a new ARG-2500-GK Service Kit. Using old, compressed O-rings with a new sight glass can lead to air leaks, which may cause your engine to overheat.
