Frost Cutlery Whitetail Dog Leg Green Bone Trapper

Description

The Frost Cutlery Whitetail Dog Leg Trapper carries mirror-finished stainless clip and spey blades in a dark green jigged bone handle with nickel silver bolsters and an inlay shield, closing to 2.5 inches.

Dog leg describes the handle, which bends part way along its length rather than running straight. That curve drops the blades into a more natural line with the wrist and gives the knife a distinctive silhouette among trapper patterns. The pairing is the trapper standard: the clip takes general cutting while the spey blade’s flat edge and rounded tip handle skinning and scraping without a point to puncture what lies beneath.

At 2.5 inches closed this is a small trapper, closer to a peanut in footprint, and jigging gives the bone grip where a smooth surface would turn slick.

• Dog leg handle bends to line up with the wrist
