This Fireboy-Xintex Propane Fume Detector skips the solenoid valve found on other models in the line, focused purely on early leak detection to prevent personal injury or a possible explosion rather than automatically shutting off gas flow.

The 2-3/16-inch round black display uses LEDs with a simple installation, and the alarm is loud: 68 dBA sound paired with a red LED lighting up at 20 percent of the LEL. The electronics are reverse polarity protected against wiring mistakes.
