Description

The Dolphin 12/36V 20A DC-DC Battery Converter is designed to charge a 36V auxiliary battery bank from a boat’s 12V alternator or starting system while the engine is running. This makes it well suited to trolling-motor and other 36V battery systems that need to recover charge during navigation instead of depending only on shore power.

The charger supports lead-acid, Gel, AGM, and lithium battery profiles and uses a smart multi-stage charging process to provide controlled charging rather than simple voltage conversion. Its high-frequency design allows a compact enclosure while maintaining efficient power conversion between the 12V source and 36V service bank.

Automatic protection helps guard against source-battery drainage, over-current, over-voltage, reverse polarity, and fuse faults. Dolphin also conformal-coats the electronic board to improve durability in marine environments.
