This Digital Yacht USB to NMEA Serial Adapter gives a simple way to connect NMEA 0183 marine equipment straight to a PC, with all the conversion electronics tucked inside the USB connector itself rather than a bulky external box.

That built-in circuitry handles full bi-directional serial conversion, and small Tx/Rx LEDs give a visual heads-up on data traffic passing through the cable, useful for confirming a connection is actually working during setup. The far end terminates in bare, tinned wire, ready to land on a terminal block or connector matched to whatever NMEA 0183 equipment it’s feeding.
