Description

The Daiwa Eliminator 2500 is a spinning reel built with four ball bearings plus one roller bearing and a 5.6:1 gear ratio. The reel recovers 33.2 in of line with each turn of the handle and provides up to 13.2 lb of drag, giving the 2500 size a balanced combination of retrieve speed and drag capacity for a range of freshwater and light inshore setups.

Monofilament capacity is 210 yd of 6 lb, 170 yd of 8 lb, or 140 yd of 10 lb line. For braid, the spool holds 170 yd of 20 lb or 120 yd of 30 lb line. The dynamic-cut aluminum ABS spool is also J-BRAID ready, so the spool design is set up for anglers who prefer either conventional mono or braided line.

Daiwa’s Advanced Tournament Drag system manages drag pressure during the fight, while the aluminum spool provides the reel’s line-management platform. The result is a straightforward 2500-series spinning reel with clearly defined line capacities, 33.2 in pickup per turn, and 13.2 lb of available drag.
