The Condor K-Night carries a 13.25-inch satin 1075 carbon steel blade with a full tang, set in a black micarta handle, with a Kydex sheath. Made in El Salvador.

1075 is a simple high-carbon steel with roughly 0.75 percent carbon, the classic machete composition. It is tough rather than hard, so it absorbs repeated impact without chipping and comes back to sharp with a file. Micarta on a machete is a step above the molded plastic that usually appears here. Layers of fabric set in resin, it grips better as hands get sweaty and will not crack in cold the way plastic can.

Full tang carries the steel through the handle, and the Kydex sheath holds a 13-inch blade rigidly rather than letting it swing against a leg.
