Description

The Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto is part of the Nightshade series, using a 6-inch black Griv-Ex tanto blade instead of a conventional steel blade. At about 11.5 inches overall, the fixed-blade design is exceptionally lightweight and resistant to moisture and corrosion because the main blade structure is fiberglass-reinforced polymer.

The Griv-Ex material is UV and heat stabilized for exposure to the elements. A deeply checkered black Kraton handle is molded directly around the full tang, giving the knife a textured gripping surface without separate handle fasteners or scales.

A lanyard hole is built into the handle for retention or attachment. The tanto profile gives the knife its angular point and straight-edged geometry, while the all-black Nightshade construction gives it a subdued appearance.
