The CobraTec EDC Scout closes to 4.75 in and uses a 3.13 in satin VG-10 stainless drop-point blade. The drop point gives the blade a sturdy tip and a broad section of edge for ordinary utility cutting.

OD green textured Grivory forms the handle. The thumb stud provides manual opening and the bar lock secures the blade. A pocket clip supports pocket carry, while the rear lanyard opening can be used for a cord or retention loop.

The bar lock is an important part of the EDC Scout because it uses a locking system different from the linerlocks common in this size range. The OD green Grivory handle also makes the model visually distinct from all-metal or black-scaled folders.
