Cattleman’s Cutlery Farriers Companion Blue Knife

Description

The Cattlemans Cutlery Farriers Companion in Blue pairs a 3Cr13 stainless clip blade with a farrier’s hoof pick, set in blue Delrin handles with stainless bolsters, closing to 4.125 inches.

The hoof pick is the blade that defines this pattern. It is a blunt, hooked tool for cleaning packed dirt, stones and manure out of a horse’s hoof before shoeing, work no cutting edge can do without injuring the animal. Pairing the pick with a clip blade means one knife covers both halves of hoof work, the cleaning and the cutting, rather than carrying a pick and a pocketknife separately.

Delrin holds up to the moisture, manure and hoof dressing a barn knife meets daily, and blue makes it easy to spot against straw or a dirt floor.
