The trapper is the classic two-blade working pattern: the clip takes general cutting while the spey blade’s flat edge and rounded tip handle skinning and scraping without a point to puncture what lies beneath. Delrin replaced bone on working stock knives because it resists cracking, moisture and the chemicals found around livestock, and it holds its dimensions where natural material moves.

Orange is practical rather than decorative on a knife used outdoors, where a dark handle set down in grass or bedding is very hard to find again.
