The Browning Burl Wood Lockback combines a 3 in satin-finished stainless drop point blade with a 4 in closed brown burl wood handle. Its compact proportions make it easy to carry, while the natural-looking wood and stainless bolsters give it a more traditional character than a polymer-handled utility folder.

Its drop point geometry combines a controlled tip with enough belly for ordinary pocketknife cutting. A lockback mechanism secures the blade in use, giving the knife a familiar rear-locking design rather than a liner or frame lock.

One of the distinctive details is the fileworked backspring, which adds visible machining along the spine when the knife is viewed from above. That decorative touch complements the burl wood handle and polished metal hardware.
