Blue Sea 8403 DC 13 Position Panel with Multimeter

Description

The Blue Sea Systems 8403 is a 13 position DC panel with an 8248 digital multimeter and alarm built in, running 12 or 24 volts at up to 100A. Thirteen is a practical number for a mid-size boat. Enough to keep the important systems separated, not so many that the panel takes over a bulkhead. Ten 15A single pole breakers come installed.

The digital meter is what sets this apart from the plain versions. Voltage and current show as numbers rather than a needle position, and the alarm flags a bank drifting out of range before you notice something downstream acting up. Its toggle switch covers up to three banks, which suits a house-and-start setup with a thruster or windlass bank added on.

Positive, negative and grounding buses are installed and pre-wired. Circuit labels are backlit with no additional kit and every position has an ON indicating LED. The panel is heavy 1/8 inch 5052 aluminum finished in two-part polyurethane slate gray over MIL-C-5541C or equivalent immersion undercoating, with countersunk mounting holes and industry standard height and width.
