Description

The Blue Sea 8246 AC Analog Micro Ammeter provides a compact traditional display for monitoring AC current through an external current transformer. It is useful for shore-power or generator installations where the operator wants an immediate visual indication of AC load without routing the main current-carrying conductor through the meter itself.

The meter uses a simple two-wire connection and receives its measurement signal from the included current transformer, which slips over the conductor being monitored. This arrangement electrically separates the instrument from the full load current and simplifies installation in marine AC panels.

The backlit meter face improves readability after dark and helps the instrument coordinate visually with other illuminated gauges.
