The Blue Sea Systems 8236 DC Digital Ammeter displays current from -500 to +500 amps and ships with a 500 amp shunt. Current only, no voltage reading, for installations where voltage is already displayed elsewhere on the panel.

Reading both directions means it shows charge as well as draw, so it works equally as a load meter and as a way of confirming the alternator is delivering. As with the other Blue Sea DC meters, the standard unit operates in the negative side of the circuit only, and positive side installation such as at an alternator requires a Shunt Shifter.

Three levels of display brightness, a splashproof front, and a manual sleep mode that blanks the display to conserve power. Suitable for 12, 24, 32, 36 and 42 volt DC systems. Have a look at the rest of our marine electrical meters.
