The Blue Sea Systems 8100 is an ELCI main breaker panel built around a single 30A double pole residual current breaker with a 30 mA leakage trip. It is the narrowest of the ELCI panels at 3.75 inches wide, standing 5.25 inches tall and 3.50 deep, weighing 2.25 pounds.

Leakage protection is the point of the thing. An ordinary breaker trips on overload and stays quiet while current leaks off into the water through a fault, which is the condition that puts swimmers at risk around docks. The ELCI catches it and opens the circuit, meeting ABYC E-11 for whole boat shore power protection.

A red reverse polarity LED flags bad dock wiring. All circuit label positions are backlit and ON indicating LEDs are installed. Nominal voltage is 120V AC. Compare with our other marine electrical panels.
