The Blue Sea Systems 8079 is a main only AC panel carrying a single 7242 A-Series white toggle double pole 50A breaker, sized for 50 amp shore service. It measures 2.63 inches tall by 3.75 wide and weighs just over 8 ounces.

Combining switching and circuit protection in one device means the main breaker is also the main switch, so there is nothing extra to install. The trip free design cannot be held on during a fault current condition, which rules out the failure mode where somebody holds a breaker closed to keep a circuit alive and defeats the protection entirely.

Nominal voltage is 120V AC with a maximum of 277V AC or 65V DC. A safety ground screw is provided on the panel back. One green 120V AC LED and one red are fitted, the red indicating reverse polarity. Browse our marine electrical panels.
