Description

The Blue Sea 7650003 Add-A-Battery Kit provides a complete two-bank battery-management solution by combining a Dual Circuit Plus battery switch with an automatic charging relay. The system is designed to simplify normal battery operation while keeping the engine-start and house banks isolated from one another during discharge.

The Dual Circuit Plus switch turns the engine and house circuits on or off together while maintaining electrical separation between the two battery banks. If emergency starting support is needed, the switch can combine the banks temporarily so available reserve capacity can assist the starter.

Charging is automated by the included 120A SI Automatic Charging Relay. When charging voltage is present, the ACR combines the banks so both can receive charge, then separates them when charging stops. This removes much of the manual switching normally required in a two-battery system and helps protect the starting battery from house loads. For boats adding or upgrading a dedicated house bank, the Add-A-Battery kit combines switching and automatic charge management in one coordinated package.
