Description

The Blue Sea 7649 Mini Add-A-Battery Management Kit provides a compact way to add and manage a second battery on smaller boats. It is designed to keep the engine-start battery isolated from house loads that could otherwise discharge it and leave the boat without reliable starting power.

The included m-Series Dual Circuit Plus battery switch controls the start and house circuits while maintaining separation between the two battery banks during normal operation. This simplifies day-to-day battery switching because the operator does not need to manage a traditional multi-position selector every time the engine starts or stops.

The Mini ACR Automatic Charging Relay monitors system voltage and automatically shares a single charging source between the two batteries when charging is available. When charging ends, the relay separates the banks again so house loads cannot drain the starting reserve. For small boats adding a dedicated house battery, the Mini Add-A-Battery kit combines switching and automatic charge management in one coordinated system.
