The Blue Sea Systems 7148 is a 150 amp surface mount breaker in the 187 Series, the high current end of the surface mounting range. It carries the same thermally responsive bi-metal blade as the rest of the family, rated to 48 volts DC.

Interrupt capacity is 5,000 amperes at 12 volts DC, 3,000 at 24 volts and 1,500 at 42 volts. Operating temperature spans -25°C to +82°C, and the breaker is Type III class, switchable with manual reset and trip free.

At this rating the terminal detail earns attention. The 5/16 studs give high torque connections and there is ample clearance around them for the heavy gauge lugs a 150 amp circuit requires, which is where cheaper breakers force awkward bends in cable that is already stiff.
