Surface mounting is the whole point of the Blue Sea Systems 7144, a 100 amp breaker from the 187 Series that fixes to the face of a panel rather than through it. On a cored bulkhead or a structural panel you would rather not cut, that is often the only sensible option.

Protection is by thermally responsive bi-metal blade rated to 48 volts DC, with interrupt capacity of 5,000 amperes at 12 volts, 3,000 at 24 and 1,500 at 42. Operating temperature runs -25°C to +82°C and the class is Type III, switchable with manual reset and trip free.

Switching and circuit protection come in one device with clear single lever operation, and the lever orientation reports trip status without needing a light. Recessed mounting holes, 5/16 terminals with room for heavy gauge lugs, thermoset polyester case, waterproof, and SAE J1171 ignition protected. Browse more marine circuit breakers.
