The Blue Sea Systems 7139 is a 50 amp surface mount 187-Series breaker, the surface mounting counterpart to the panel mount 7039 at the same rating. Fifty amps covers a windlass circuit or a substantial accessory feed on most boats.

A thermally responsive bi-metal blade provides the protection, with 5,000 amperes interrupt at 12 volts DC, 3,000 at 24 and 1,500 at 42. Voltage rating is 48 volts DC and the operating range is -25°C to +82°C.

Because it surface mounts, there is no cutout to make and nothing needed behind the panel, which matters on a cored bulkhead you would rather not open up. Single lever operation combines switching and protection, the lever indicates trip status by orientation, and the trip free design cannot be held on during a fault.
