Description

The Blue Sea Systems 7049 is a 200 amp panel mount breaker from the 187 Series, using a thermally responsive bi-metal blade rather than a magnetic hydraulic mechanism. Maximum voltage rating is 48 volts DC and the unit weighs 8 ounces.

Interrupt capacity varies with system voltage: 5,000A at 12V DC, 3,000A at 24V DC and 1,500A at 42V DC. Operating range runs from -40°C to 85°C, wider than the surface mount units in the same series. The case is thermoset polyester and the breaker is Type III class, switchable with manual reset and trip free.

Terminals are robust 5/16 M8 studs torqued to 75 in-lb, with generous clearance so heavy gauge wire lugs fit without fighting the case. Mounting holes accept 10 or M5 screws and are recessed for a clean face. The large lever indicates trip status by its vertical or horizontal orientation, so you can read the state across a compartment. It is waterproof and ignition protected for gasoline powered boats.
