The Blue Sea Systems 7044 is a 100 amp panel mount 187-Series breaker with a thermally responsive bi-metal blade, rated to 48 volts DC. One hundred amps is the common size for a house bank feed or a mid-size inverter circuit.

Maximum interrupt rating is 5,000 amperes at 12 volts DC, dropping to 3,000 at 24 volts and 1,500 at 42 volts as the system voltage rises. The breaker is Type III class, switchable with manual reset, and trip free so it cannot be held closed against a fault.

The self-trimming round case goes in with a hole saw and needs no trim bezel. Terminal studs are 5/16 with room around them for heavy gauge lugs, mounting holes are recessed, and the large lever indicates trip status by whether it sits vertical or horizontal. The case is thermoset polyester, the unit is waterproof, and all components meet SAE J1171 external ignition protection requirements. Have a look at the rest of our marine circuit breakers.
