Blue Sea 3117 SMS Panel Enclosure w/2 ELCI Breakers

Description

The Blue Sea Systems 3117 is an SMS panel enclosure carrying two 30A ELCI breakers on 120V AC. ABYC E-11 wants an ELCI main within 10 feet of the shore power inlet, and this is the housing built to put one there. It also takes other large frame devices that will not fit into a standard branch panel.

The base is glass filled polycarbonate. The cover is clear, so you can see breaker status without opening anything in the rain, and it overlaps the base rather than sitting flush, which gives the gasket more to seal against. That gasket is polyurethane, oversized, and formed in place instead of cut from stock and fitted. The stainless hinge pin pulls straight out, which matters when the enclosure is going into a locker with no room to swing a cover. The stainless latch holds it shut without a fastener passing through the enclosure wall.

Blank apertures let you load it out to suit the boat, taking Carling Technologies A and C Series flat rocker breakers alongside ELCI mains. Two red reverse polarity LEDs and two green ON LEDs are fitted for 120V AC, and label backlighting is built in. The enclosure is 6 by 6 by 4 inches, or 7.6 by 7.4 by 4.7 inches measured overall.
