Blue Sea 3104 C-Series ELCI Main Circuit Breaker – 50A

Description

The Blue Sea Systems 3104 C-Series ELCI main circuit breaker is a 50A three pole unit for whole boat shore power protection, tripping on short circuit, overload or leakage to ground. Leakage trip current is 30 mA, which is the threshold ABYC E-11 works to.

Three poles is what 120/240V service needs, switching both hot lines and the neutral rather than leaving one conductor live behind an open breaker. Maximum voltage is 120V AC per pole or 240V AC per pole, and interrupt capacity is 5000A, meaning the breaker can safely open a fault that severe rather than welding itself closed.

It is a magnetic hydraulic trip free design, so it cannot be held on while a fault current is flowing. UL 1500 external ignition protection is met, which is required on gasoline powered boats.
