BEP Marine 720-MDVSO Dual Operation VSS Switch

Description

The BEP Marine 720-MDVSO Dual Operation VSS is a heavy-duty voltage-sensitive battery switch that automatically manages charging between two battery banks while also providing a remote emergency parallel function. The switch senses bank voltage and combines or isolates the batteries according to the presence of a charging source such as an engine alternator or battery charger.

Dual battery sensing allows the switch to respond to charging voltage on either bank. A remotely mounted momentary switch can activate the emergency parallel function for ten minutes, giving the operator temporary high-current assistance for starting. After the timed period, the switch will remain engaged only if system voltage is high enough to support it; otherwise, it disconnects automatically. A manual override provides another operating option when direct control is required.

The switch supports matched 12V or 24V battery banks and uses a lowered cut-in threshold suited to low-output alternators and high-temperature environments. Tinned copper conductors, stainless steel nuts, and high-temperature fiber-reinforced plastics are used for durability in marine service.
