BEP Marine 701-MDVS Motorized Dual VSS Switch

Description

The BEP Marine 701-MDVS is a motorized voltage-sensitive battery switch that automatically manages charging between two battery banks while also providing a remote emergency parallel function. It senses battery voltage and combines the banks when a charging source such as an alternator or battery charger is present, then isolates them when charging stops so the starting bank remains protected.

Dual battery sensing allows the switch to respond to charging voltage on either connected bank. A dash-mounted momentary switch can activate the emergency parallel mode for ten minutes, supplying high-current starting assistance without requiring direct access to the battery compartment. After the timed period, the switch remains combined only if voltage is high enough for normal voltage-sensitive operation; otherwise, it disconnects automatically.

BEP builds the switch with tinned copper conductors, stainless steel nuts, and high-temperature fiber-reinforced plastics for marine durability. It is ignition protected, uses very low standby current, includes a manual override, and can be recessed or surface mounted.
