The Beckson Thirsty-Mate 36-Inch Hand Pump with Hose is a self-priming plunger pump made in the USA, 36 inches long by 1-3/4 inches in diameter, supplied with a 72 inch hose.

It shifts 13 gallons per minute at four strokes per gallon. The body and shaft are grey polyvinyl with solvent welded construction, non-conductive and immune to rust or corrosion, and it will not mar a hull if it knocks against one.

Cleaning is the part worth knowing. If it clogs, the foot valve assembly comes out and the inside can be cleared, and replacement foot valves and hoses are available rather than the pump being disposable. It has an angled top sleeve, a contoured red tee handle, and withstands temperatures to 120 degrees F. Compare it with our other marine pipe fittings.
