The BeaverCraft Bushcraft Carving Hatchet measures 11.88 in overall and uses a forged 1066 carbon-steel head with a 3 in cutting edge. The compact head gives the tool more control for carving and smaller camp tasks than a full-size axe.

An ash handle provides the grip and includes a lanyard hole. A brown leather belt sheath covers the edge for transport. Because the head is carbon steel, it should be cleaned and dried after use rather than stored damp.
