Description

The Balmar AltMount Serpentine Pulley Conversion Kit is designed for Yanmar 4JH2-series diesel engines, including the 4JH2-TE, 4JH2-HTE, 4JH2-DTE, and 4JH2-UTE applications. It upgrades the engine accessory drive to a J10 ten-groove serpentine arrangement capable of transferring more mechanical load to a high-output alternator.

As charging output increases, the belt system must transmit more horsepower from the engine to the alternator. A wider ten-rib serpentine drive offers greater pulley contact than a conventional single-V belt, helping reduce belt slip and making the drive system better suited to sustained high-output charging.

The kit includes three matching J10 pulleys, two 47-inch-circumference serpentine belts, and mounting hardware. One belt is installed and the second can be retained as a spare. Supplying the pulleys as a coordinated set helps maintain correct alignment and groove compatibility across the drive.

Installations using an AT-200A alternator may require a longer belt than the standard 47-inch belt provided.
