Description

The Balmar AltMount Serpentine Pulley Conversion Kit is designed for Ford/Lehman FL80 and FL120 engines that are being upgraded from a conventional V-belt alternator drive to a J10 ten-groove serpentine system. A serpentine conversion is especially useful when installing a higher-output alternator because the wider multi-rib belt can transfer more mechanical power with less tendency to slip under heavy charging load.

The kit includes three ten-groove J10 pulleys so the engine drive can be converted as a coordinated system rather than mixing incompatible pulley styles. It also includes two J10 serpentine belts with a 55-inch circumference, providing one working belt and one spare for onboard service or future replacement.

Because pulley alignment and belt length are critical to reliable alternator operation, the kit is designed specifically around the covered Ford/Lehman engine families rather than as a universal collection of pulleys. Installations using an AT-200A alternator may require a longer belt than the standard length included with the kit.
