Description

The Balmar 100A Saddle Mount Alternator Kit provides a complete 12V charging upgrade for engines using a 3.15-inch dual-foot Hitachi-style mount and conventional dual deep-V pulley arrangement. It includes the 60-100-DV alternator, MC-618 regulator, temperature sensors, and mounting hardware so the charging source and control system can be upgraded together.

The alternator is rated for 100 amps and uses isolated grounding. Its 3.15-inch saddle mount is typical of many Yanmar, Westerbeke, Lehman, and Perkins-Sabre installations, while the dual deep-V pulley allows it to work with compatible two-belt drive systems without requiring a serpentine conversion.

Balmar’s MC-618 external regulator provides more advanced charging control than a basic internally regulated alternator. Temperature sensors are included so the system can monitor operating conditions and help protect the alternator and batteries during extended high-output charging.
