Description

The Balmar 60 Series 100A Saddle Mount Alternator provides a 12V high-output charging upgrade for marine engines using a 3.15-inch dual-foot Hitachi-style mount and K6 serpentine drive. The 100-amp output is suitable for vessels that need stronger battery-bank recovery than a standard alternator can provide, particularly when substantial house loads are present.

A K6 six-rib serpentine pulley gives the alternator a broader belt-contact area than a conventional single-V pulley, helping the drive system transfer the additional mechanical power demanded by higher charging output when paired with matching engine pulleys and proper belt tension. The alternator also uses isolated grounding, separating its electrical ground path from the case.
