Description

The Balmar 60 Series 100A Saddle Mount Alternator is a 12V high-output charging source for engines using a 3.15-inch dual-foot Hitachi-style mount. It is equipped with a dual deep-V pulley, giving boat owners a way to increase alternator output while retaining a compatible two-belt drive rather than converting the engine to a serpentine system.

The 100-amp rating supports faster recovery of larger battery banks and can better serve vessels with substantial house loads such as refrigeration, lighting, communications equipment, navigation electronics, and inverters. Isolated grounding separates the alternator’s electrical ground path from its case, which may be desirable in certain marine electrical installations.

The mounting style is typical for Yanmar, Westerbeke, Lehman, and Perkins-Sabre engines, and Balmar 60-100-SR-IG is the listed replacement reference.
