Description

The ARCO Zeus A275L Single Foot Alternator with Terminal Block is designed for high-energy 12V charging systems that use a conventional 1-inch or 2-inch single-foot mounting arrangement. It is suitable for marine, RV, military, and commercial applications and can replace many domestic-style Motorola and Prestolite alternators while providing far greater charging capacity for large battery banks.

The A275L is engineered to deliver high output without overheating under sustained load. Heat-shedding E-Coat or Cerakote finishes, an externally mounted rectifier, dual cooling fans, and OEM-grade components help reduce operating temperature. ARCO states that the design runs 8-20% cooler than incumbent alternators, improving sustained output and making engine-driven charging more capable of replacing or reducing generator use.

This model uses a large 138mm stator, 16-pole P-type field, and external-only regulation. A terminal block and P-type harness are supplied, and the alternator must be paired with an external regulator such as the ARCO Zeus Bluetooth Alternator Regulator. External regulation is particularly useful for lithium battery systems and applications where charge parameters need to be controlled precisely. Default output voltage is 14.1V.

Published performance includes 311A maximum cold output at 9,000 alternator RPM, 227A sustained hot cruising output at 6,000 RPM, and 198A sustained hot idle output at 3,000 RPM. The unit cuts in at 1,061 alternator RPM, supports up to 19,000 RPM, and is rated for a maximum continuous operating temperature of 110°C.

An M8 side-mount battery post, 49K6 six-groove 49mm pulley, 17mm shaft threaded M17 x 1.5, included pulley hardware, and six positive plus six negative 50A avalanche-rated diodes complete the high-current design.
