Description

The Ancor Red/Black 8/2 AWG Flat Duplex Cable combines two marine-grade conductors in one flexible jacket for higher-current DC circuits aboard boats. Red and black insulation keeps polarity easy to identify, while the flat construction helps the cable route neatly against bulkheads, under panels, and through confined spaces.

Ultra-flexible Type 3 tinned copper stranding improves corrosion resistance and helps the cable tolerate vibration and repeated movement. Ancor’s premium vinyl insulation remains flexible in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, ultraviolet radiation, heat, and abrasion.

The insulation is rated for 600V, 105°C dry, and 75°C wet service. Ancor states that its Marine Grade wire exceeds UL 1426, ABYC, and applicable US Coast Guard charter-boat standards. For shorter paired 8 AWG runs used for pumps, distribution, or other higher-current DC loads, this 50-foot spool provides durable flat duplex construction.
